Help Your Kids To Make New Friends

When our  child go to school on day one, they did not know anybody there. They will feel scared and nervous and do not know what is going to happen.  Our child will have some confident when they make friends there.  The parents must give them some help in finding new friends.

Mostly all parents will take their child to the classroom on the first day. If there is already another student sitting next  to them, introduce your child to them . The school often put name tags on the desks or clip at the child’s pocket so you can tell your child the name of the kid that sits beside them. Ask your child to to repeat the kid’s name to see whether he can understand what you said to them. If your child repeat it then  assist them to say hi to other kids and teach them how to introduce themselves by telling their name.

The basic social skills is making new friends and the skills can get better with practices. Help your child in developing this skills not only at school but at other areas such as play lands and parks. Thus when the time comes to make new friend at school, your child has overcome their shyness in talking to someone whom is new to them.

If your child is really shy, help them to meet new friends by telling other children what your child’s name is and asking for theirs.  Then you can introduce  them each other and try to get your child to say hello.

After your kids know how to find new friends and they have get mixed with a few of them, allow them to play with their friends outside the school. Plan for them to  play playdates after school and take turns at each house. The best time for their friends to come and play is during weekends.  Organize some few activities for them so that they do not get bored during their stay at your house.

Making new business cards for our children is becoming a trend with their name and phone number on it. With this, our kids can give it to their friends that they would like to play with.  This is really good for small children that might not know their own phone number too.
